Russia hits civilian targets 60 times more often than military ones, says Kyiv World

Since the beginning of its incursion into the neighboring country in February this year, despite the evidence, Moscow has denied that it attacked civilian targets, reminds the Russian-language BBC server.

Russian troops on Ukrainian territory have carried out 300 attacks on military targets and 17,300 strikes on civilian targets since February 24, 2022, according to the CPD. According to the center, the reason for the significant preponderance of attacks on civilian infrastructure is, among other things, the low accuracy of Russian weapons and the fact that Russian soldiers are based on outdated or false information.

The statements of the individual parties to the conflict cannot be independently verified. The inaccuracy of the Russian shelling, for example, was previously pointed out by the British Ministry of Defence.

“More than 50 percent of all housing in Mariupol, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Buča, Severodonetsk and Lysyčansk is currently damaged or completely destroyed. And eight percent of the Ukrainian population, or more than 3.5 million people, were left homeless,” CPD reports.
