The Security Council of the unrecognized Transnistrian Moldavian Republic has declared a state of emergency. This is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the press service of the head of the PMR Vadim Krasnoselsky.
According to the press service, the Security Council decided to introduce a state of emergency due to difficulties in gas supply.
“Given the negative circumstances, the PMR Security Council considered it expedient to introduce a state of emergency throughout Pridnestrovie. The President signed a corresponding decree, which was sent to the Supreme Council for approval,” the statement says.
During the operation of the provision, socially significant facilities will be supplied with electricity first of all. At the same time, restrictions have been introduced for some industrial facilities using natural gas.
Earlier, the Prime Minister of Moldova , Natalia Gavrilitsa , said that the Moldovan-Russian energy company Moldovagaz could lose its gas transmission network.
