[NEWS] Ministry of Finance of Japan: trade with Russia decreased by 14% in September compared to 2021
The Ministry of Finance of Japan said that the trade turnover between Japan and the Russian Federation in September decreased by 14.4% compared to the same period last year and amounted to just over 176 billion yen (about $1.17 billion). It is reported by TASS .
Japanese exports to the Russian Federation decreased over the specified period by 31.4%, and imports – by 6.5%. At the same time, the Japanese deficit in trade with the Russian Federation increased by 17% compared to last year, to 82 billion yen (about $547 million).
Earlier, according to the report of the National Statistics Service of Georgia , it became known that the Russian Federation increased trade with Georgia from January to September 2022 by one and a half times, or by 50%, to $1.7 billion.
It is noted that today Russia is Georgia’s largest trading partner after Turkey . The third place is occupied by China . In the first nine months of 2022, Russia’s share in Georgia’s foreign trade amounted to 12.6%.
In August, the chairman of the National Wine Agency, Levan Mekhuzla , said that within five years Georgia could reduce wine exports to Russia and reduce the country’s share in total supplies from 60% to 40%.
