In the Odesa and Dnipropetrovsk regions of Ukraine, emergency blackouts were introduced against the background of an air raid alert, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the energy company DTEK.
The company clarified that the shutdowns were introduced “due to the threat of rocket attacks” in order to avoid significant damage to energy facilities.
On December 29, an air raid alert was issued throughout the country.
Since October 10, the Russian Armed Forces have been attacking military and energy facilities in Ukraine. Russian President Vladimir Putin said that this was a response, in particular, to the explosion on the Crimean bridge, which, according to the FSB, was carried out by the Ukrainian special services.
Currently, a special military operation is ongoing in Ukraine, the purpose of which, as Putin noted, is to protect the people of Donbas, as well as the demilitarization and denazification of the Kyiv authorities.
