Mykhailo Podoljak, an adviser to the office of the Ukrainian president, said today that the newly published satellite image of Olenivka proves that the flow was caused by Russia. Moscow has announced that it has officially invited the UN and the Red Cross.
From the flow to the prisoner, each side of the conflict is wrapped around each other. Russia and the representative of the self-proclaimed separatist Donetsk People’s Republic (DNR) claim that the Ukrainian army has armed the country, which controls the entrance to the country, and found a stupid building. According to the DNR, 53 Ukrainian prisoners of war died on the river.
The general of the Ukrainian Armed Forces blamed the Russian invasion forces for the flow of the two. According to him, in this way, Moscow is trying to accuse Kyiv of major crimes and at the same time curtail torture and executions.
Podoljak, an adviser to the office of the Ukrainian president, wrote on Twitter today that satellite images of the prison show that only one building of the entire complex was damaged, in which Ukrainian prisoners of war were housed shortly before the incident. Analysis of the photo indicates an explosion inside the building, Podoljak added.
Before its release, satellite images of Olenivka before and after the explosion were published on Twitter by the Politico newspaper Christopher Miller. Thus, according to him, the preliminary evidence shows that the flow was carried out by Russia. The photo was shared by the American company Maxar, which deals with satellite imagery and whose clients include the US Department of Defense,
In its statement, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) pointed out that prisoners of war must not be subject to the flow, and applied for access to the city, among other things, to help with the evacuation and evaluation of the wounded. On Saturday evening, MVK wrote on Twitter that his request had not yet been met.
Russian brutality resembles the brutality of Islam
Today, Russia announced that it had officially invited the UN Red Cross to investigate the incident. The Russian Federation has officially invited experts from the United Nations and the International Committee of the Red Cross in the interest of an objective investigation into the detention center in Olenivka, which led to the death of a large number of Ukrainian prisoners of war, the Russian Ministry of Defense said.
Latvian foreign minister Rinkvis believes that Europe must increase its strength to isolate Russia. We see the brutality of the Russian forces, it is true that it resembles the brutality of the Islamic State (IS), which we have always called a terrorist organization, declared Rinkvis. Let’s talk straight, he added.
The only way to move forward is to implement the current strategy, i.e. to support Ukraine and send more military aid, Rinkvis declared. He thus called for the confiscation of the property of the Russian government and limited publishing for Russians, with the exception of humanitarian reasons.
Society must honor this, Rinkvis revealed, arguing that half of Russia supports the Kremlin’s policy. We condemn a country like Russia and Russia is no different, he added.
