Sanctions against 24 citizens of Belarus have been imposed by Canada, the press service of the Canadian Foreign Ministry reported on November 2.
Among the sanctioned persons – Dmitry Lukashenko (middle son of the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko).
Also, the new Canadian sanctions apply to seven companies: Beltechexport, GardService, Agat – Electromechanical Plant, Peleng, 140 Repair Plant, TSENTRKURORT and the presidential sports club.
The sanctions were imposed against Minsk because of its migration policy and “human rights violations”. All claims against Belarus were made public on December 2 in a joint statement by the EU, the US, Canada and the UK.
