The State Duma proposed a response to fraud with the help of “Gosuslug”

To combat fraud using the Gosuslugi portal, the State Duma proposed making two-factor identification mandatory.

“Obviously, my colleagues from the Ministry of Digital Development and I need to think about how else to minimize the risks. Perhaps two-factor authentication should be made mandatory? – says the head of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy Alexander Khinshtein (“United Russia”) in the telegram channel.

He recalled that the State Duma adopted a law on two-factor authentication at the State Services, when a free SMS is sent to a data-linked phone to finally confirm its record. This is a guaranteed way to protect your data from fraudsters, however, such identification has been introduced so far at the request of the owner of the personal account.
