Japan sends a large donation to Cuba for doctors

On January 14, Japanese organizations sent a large batch of donations for medical workers to Cuba from the port of Yokohama. This is reported by the news agency Prensa Latina.

The $81,000 cargo consists of thousands of syringes, masks, gowns, gloves and lamps. The bulk of the donations were raised by Cubans living in Japan, the Japan-Cuban Scientific Exchange Committee, the Japan Doctors’ Federation, and Taichi Holding Ltd. The container will arrive in Cuba on March 22.

In addition, on January 13, the island received 84 buses donated by the Japanese government as a grant of financial assistance through the Japan International Cooperation System.
