Aslan Karatsev became the winner of the ATP tournament in Sydney

On January 15, in the final of the ATP tournament held in Sydney (Australia), Russian tennis player Aslan Karatsev defeated British tennis players Andy Murray with a score of 6:3, 6:3. The game lasted 92 minutes.

The total prize fund of the ATP tournament in Sydney was 521 thousand dollars.

On the way to the final, Karatsev defeated Miomir Ketsmanovich (7:5, 6:4), Lorenzo Sonego (6:2, 3:6, 6:2) and Daniel Evans (6:3, 6:7, 6:3). It is worth noting that Aslan Karatsev was the only Russian to play at this tournament.

The Australian Open will take place from 17 to 30 January. In the first round, Aslan Karatsev will meet with the Spanish athlete Jaume Munar.
