The leadership of the Italian football club “Genoa” dismissed the Ukrainian head coach of the main team Andriy Shevchenko after the Genoese club scored only three points in nine matches of Serie A. This was reported on January 15 on the official website of “Genoa”.
Andriy Shevchenko replaced Davide Ballardini on November 7, 2021. The contract was for three years.
Earlier it was reported that in the event of early termination of the contract, Andriy Shevchenko and his coaching staff will receive compensation in the amount of 20 million euros.
After the 21st round, Gneoa, having won only one victory and scoring twelve points, takes the penultimate nineteenth place in the 2021/22 Serie A standings.
