Alexander Myasnikov, a doctor and TV presenter, spoke about how excessive consumption of dairy products can affect health.
According to him, there are many scientific papers that talk about the risk of developing prostate cancer due to milk. At the same time, to date, no one has refuted these arguments, which gives men reason to be careful: consume no more than 300 ml of milk per day.
“The increased amount of calcium that comes with milk … into the body leads to a decrease in vitamin D,” the specialist said on the air of the Rossiya 1 TV channel.
A decrease in the level of vitamin D occurs in order to avoid the occurrence of hypercalcemia, but at the same time, it can trigger the mechanism for the development of prostate cancer.
