Due to the increase in mortgage rates, housing is becoming an increasingly unattainable dream for the inhabitants of Russia, said the leader of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, a deputy of the State Duma Gennady Zyuganov.
“The rates in almost all major mortgage banks have already exceeded 10%! This means that housing is becoming an increasingly unattainable dream for the majority of the population. And this is against the backdrop of the ongoing rise in prices for food, medicines, “communal”, – said Zyuganov.
Following the increase by the Central Bank of the key rate to 8.5%, a number of large banks announced an increase in mortgage rates.
As previously reported IA REGNUM, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin said that in order to maintain high demand for housing, an increase in real incomes of citizens is necessary.
