In Siberia, a gang of scammers cashed in on job seekers

Employees of the operational-detective department of the criminal investigation department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for Barnaul, with the power support of the Russian Guard, uncovered a scheme according to which scammers profited from citizens looking for work. Details are reported by the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for the Altai Territory.

According to preliminary data from the investigation, a 35-year-old native of Novosibirsk organized the fraudulent scheme. He involved his acquaintances in illegal activities – citizens aged 29, 32 and 36 years old and a 26-year-old girl with whom they lived together. The attackers acted through job search sites under the name of a non-existent enterprise for the transportation, processing and storage of goods.
