Tele2 won the Grand Prix and 10 Effie Awards Russia :: News

Tele2, a Russian mobile operator, won the Grand Prix of the prestigious Effie Awards Russia in marketing for the sustained success of the Other Rules communications platform. The Tele2 brand also won four golds, two silvers and four bronzes. This is ahead of the combined result of other mobile operators.

The experts awarded the Effie Awards Russia Grand Prix for the communication platform “Other Rules” in the nomination “Business Challenges. Sustained success.” For five years now, it has been the basis of Tele2’s philosophy and defines the company’s approach to doing business. As part of the “Other Rules”, Tele2 regularly launches innovative products. They became drivers for the entire telecom market and were copied by other players. Tele2 remains a trendsetter in the telecom category and the fastest growing operator in the world.

In total, Tele2 projects were noted in ten categories: the brand won four gold, two silver and four bronze medals. The members of the jury recognized the sustained success of the “Other Rules” communication platform with the highest award. Three more gold medals for the project “Minutes – the new currency of Tele2” (in two categories – “Telecommunications. Internet” and “Launch of a new product or service”) and “Kinominutes” in collaboration with the Wink video service. These projects promote a unique opportunity for the operator’s customers to spend minutes in a new way – to exchange them for coffee, movies and discounts on smartphones.

Tele2 received a silver award for the project “Minutes – the new currency of Tele2″ in the Brand Experience online & offline nomination. Another silver went to “Eternal Minutes and Gb” in the “Telecommunications. Internet”. The project focuses on the fact that Tele2 customers can save and use the transferred minutes and gigabytes without time limits, automatically and free of charge.

The Tele2 Support Service series won two bronze medals in the Corporate Reputation and Branded Content categories. It is dedicated to the work of customer service and is based on real examples of customer requests. The stories of Tele2 subscribers were filmed in a variety of genres – from romantic comedy to thriller.

The Urban Battle project received two more bronze awards in the Community Marketing and Sports Marketing nominations. In 2021, Tele2 competitions for fans of extreme sports covered seven cities in Russia. Riders, parkour riders and other extreme sportsmen competed and tested the speed of mobile Internet from Tele2.

The Effie Awards Russia is the national stage of the international competition Effie Worldwide, which has been held since 1968 in 52 countries. The event is designed to develop the advertising industry on the example of the best cases and cutting-edge trends.
