Tele2, a Russian mobile operator, began cooperation with a network of parks VR-entertainment ARena Space. The project became the first experience in the market of collaboration between the cellular business and the virtual entertainment industry. Synergy allows companies to save on rent in today’s economic situation and opens up new opportunities for finding customers.

The first joint VR entertainment park of Tele2 and ARena Space has opened in the operator’s communications salon in the Comcity business center. The digital space presents exclusive attractions of virtual and augmented reality. The content of the park includes: 10 team adventures, 35 interactive games and educational programs. The effect of presence in the virtual space is achieved through equipment using interactive and projection technologies.

This is not the first successful collaboration between Tele2 and partners, when companies combine two businesses in one communication salon. Previously, the operator implemented a project with One Price Coffee and Cofix coffee chains. Now Tele2 and partners have dozens of joint trading platforms throughout the country. The success of the project is evidenced by the high traffic of visitors in the salons combined with coffee shops. As a rule, it is 3-4 times more than in ordinary retail outlets. Monthly sales volumes in such salons are also increasing. Tele2 not only rebuilds its branded stores to match the format of partners, but also launches new stores together with them.

VR attractions are a steady trend in the entertainment industry. This is a profitable and promising business. The all-season virtual park can be visited at any time of the year; its work does not stop with the onset of winter. The content will be interesting for both children and adults. Tele2 is confident that the joint project with ARena Space will be successful and attract a new audience.

Denis Goleshchikhin, director Tele2 Retail:

“We are pleased to start cooperation with the leading operator of virtual amusement parks in our country. The project was the first in the telecom industry to combine the concept of a VR park format and a communication salon. In the future, we will be able to easily scale this solution to other stores in our retail network to increase throughput and profit.”

Vasily Ryzhonkov, CEO of ARena Space:

“The uniqueness of our network lies in the level of customer immersion in the history of vivid impressions, a wide product range of digital attractions and content, modularity and efficiency of revenue per unit area. According to experts, the global market for amusement parks today is $50 billion and is growing by 6.5% per year. VR parks are the fastest growing segment of this market, growing by 90% per year.”

Until the end of July, visitors to the Tele2 communication salon in the Comcity business center will be able to test VR attractions for free. As part of the “More” loyalty program, Tele2 customers will receive a 20% discount on the attractions of the VR park. The special offer will be valid from August 1 to October 31, 2022. Employees of companies that work in the business center will be able to visit attractions with a 15% discount.
