A criminal case was initiated against a Russian born in 1993, who carried out illegal fishing in the waters of the Kiziltash Estuary with prohibited fishing gear. 3 art. 256 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. Now he could face up to five years in prison. This was reported today by the press service of the Border Directorate of the FSB of Russia in the Krasnodar Territory.
According to the data of the pre-investigation check, the young man illegally obtained 53 specimens of glossa flounder (over 22 kg in total), as well as 2609 specimens of Black Sea shrimp (over 4 kg). As a result, the damage caused to aquatic biological resources amounted to 259,768 rubles.
Currently, the necessary investigative actions are being carried out in the criminal case, aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the crime committed.
