The attorney opened disciplinary investigation provisionally suspended for alleged involvement in politics to the mayor of Medellin Daniel Quintero; Andres Fabian Hurtado, mayor of Ibagué; Gustavo Adolfo Herrera Zapata, councilor of Calarcá Quindío; Grenfell Lozano, representative of Nátaga, in Huila.
“The Attorney General’s Office has the constitutional and legal competence to investigate, provisionally suspend and sanction, even with dismissal and disability, all public servants in the country, including those elected by popular vote,” said attorney Margarita Cabello Blanco.
