Prosecutor’s Office Ethics Commission CPB: CPB: “We do not know if the Prosecutor’s Office wants to intervene in pronouncements” | 6AM Today by Today

In 6AM Today by Today de Caracol Radio spoke Fernando Barrero, president of the Ethics Commission of the CPB, on the relationship of the media with the control entities, particularly with the prosecution.

He commented that they have been receiving a series of communications from this entity after supporting Gustavo Gomezdirector of 6AM Today by Todayto Daniel Coronell who resisted that the Prosecutor’s Office did a court inspection to Change Magazine in search of some news, and one more when defending the freedom of the press and the autonomy of media.

“They told us that this had been transferred to the Complaints Unit of the Prosecutor’s Office, we do not understand if they want to intervene in the pronouncements or do more things than they should,” he said.

For its part, Ferdinand Barrero, president of the CPB Ethics Commission, He reiterated that his pronouncements have been autonomous and that his interest is to ensure the exercise of journalism.

“This scenario is new, the CPB is open to the disposition of partners and public opinion. We have reached the complaints department,” he reiterated.
