Linda Caicedo, chosen the best player in the women’s Copa América

Linda Caycedo shone from start to finish during the Women’s America’s Cupdespite not having conquered the title of the contest with the Colombia selection, the 17-year-old was chosen as the best player of the tournament.

Linda was present at Colombia’s six matches throughout the tournament, disputing 513 minutes Y scoring two goalsin view of Ecuador Y Argentina. The latter a goal that meant qualification for the final, the World Cup and the Olympic Games.

In addition to receiving recognition as the best player of the tournament, standing out above any Brazilian player, Deportivo Cali’s striker was highlighted as the best player in the final played in the stadium Alfonso Lopez of Bucaramanga.

Lorraine daSilva, goalkeeper of Brazil and who did not concede a single goal in the tournament, was chosen the best goalkeeper in the championship; while the Argentine Yamila Rodríguez was the top scorer in the championship with six goals.
