For violating the quota law, Administrative Court of Cundinamarca overturned the appointment of Victor Munozas director of Department of the Presidency of the Republic DAPRE.
The Court determined that, in the cabinet of heads of Administrative Departments the quota law that establishes that 30 percent of positions must be held by women.
With the departure of Gloria Alonso Másmela as Director of the National Planning Departmentthe percentage of participation of women fell to 16.6%
The plaintiff alleged thatboth with the appointment of Luis Alberto Rodríguez, current director of the DNP, followed by that of Diego Andrés Molano Aponte and Víctor Manuel Muñoz Rodríguez as directors of DAPRE, a gap has been generated in the composition by sex in those positions.
The Court agreed with the plaintiff and ordered the President of the Republic, Iván Duque, to make a new appointment and comply with the requirements of law.
