The National government released a tool it will allow Colombians to oversee it and show what are the tasks carried out by the country before the Organization for Cooperation and Economic Development (OECD).
The launch was led by the Vice President and Chancellor, Marta Lucía Ramírezwho explained how the subwebsite called ‘Ocde-Colombia Information Tool’which will allow control, knowledge and follow-up of the Government’s management before the international organization.
“This tool consists of two components: one public and one private. The public content section, that is, open to the public, serves so that Colombians can learn about the country’s progress with the OECD. Over there, we will mention news of the participation of Colombia and the content of the OECD studies on the country”, explained the chancellor.
And he reiterated: “We will contribute to improving the quality of public debate in Colombia. In addition, there is the private section, which will contain a monitoring and control panel for post-access commitments. Thus, officials of the Technical Secretariat of the DNP they will be able to have the updated information in this regard”.
The tool was designed by the Vice Presidency of the Republic, the National Planning Department and with the support of Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).
The website will show the actions carried out by Colombia in the last two years that it has been membership of the Colombian territory before the OECD.
“I firmly trust that the results of the projects presented today will confirm the progress of our country in recent years and they will leave us a roadmap that will be fundamental in terms of public policy”, expressed Ramirez.
