Ukrainian writer and musician Serhiy Zhadan became the person of the year according to the Polish edition of Gazeta Wyborcza.
According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy in Facebook.
“Ukrainians continue to recognize the world. Thus, the writer and musician Serhiy Zhadan became the man of the year according to the Polish edition of Gazeta Wyborcza. During the war, Zhadan showed his active citizenship: he volunteers, organizes concerts to support people in a bomb shelter, visits the wounded in the hospital. Ukrainians continue our fight. And it’s great that the international community sees this and supports us. Together we will definitely win,” the message says.
As reported, Ukrainian writer, public figure and volunteer Serhiy Zhadan received the Freedom Prize from the Frank Schirrmacher Foundation.
