Zelensky’s fleece jacket sold for £90,000 at Christie’s

The famous fleece jacket of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky was sold at the auction held by the Christie’s auction house in London.

According to Ukrinform, this is reported by The Telegraph.

Before the start of the auction, Zelensky made a speech via video link, during which he praised the UK for helping and the brave Boris Johnson, who made a visit to Kyiv in April.

In turn, the head of the British government, Boris Johnson, urged people that these Zelensky clothes should cost much more than the starting price of 50,000 pounds.

In the end, the famous khaki fleece jacket of the Ukrainian Head of State was sold for 90,000 pounds.

All funds will be directed to humanitarian aid to Ukraine.

It is noted that other lots were presented at the auction, in particular, a cockerel pitcher donated to Johnson during his walk with Zelensky in the Ukrainian capital.

As Ukrinform reported, in London, at the Tate Modern gallery, with the participation of the President’s wife Olena Zelenska, a charity evening Brave Ukraine was held, organized by the Embassy of Ukraine in the UK. The collected funds will be transferred to the technical re-equipment of the Western Ukrainian Specialized Children’s Medical Center, through which sick children are taken to other countries for treatment.
