President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky thanked the House of Representatives of the United States of America, in particular Speaker Nancy Pelosi, for the prompt approval of the law on additional financial support for the Ukrainian state.

“Thanks to Nancy Pelosi and all friends of Ukraine in the US House of Representatives for the speedy approval of the law on additional financial support for Ukraine initiated by Joe Biden. We look forward to considering this important document for us in the Senate,” the head of the Ukrainian state said.
As reported, the Lower House of the US Congress approved the draft law HR 7691, which provides for an additional allocation of about $40 billion to respond to Russian aggression against Ukraine.
On April 28, US President Joe Biden sent Congress a proposal to approve a new package in response to Russian aggression, which provided for the allocation of $33 billion in support of Ukraine. In the process of working on the document, lawmakers offered an additional several billion in food aid and military equipment for Ukraine.
