President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky condemned the recent shelling of Nikolaev by Russian troops and announced retaliatory measures from his army. “Today, the most massive shelling of Mykolaiv and the region was carried out,” Zelensky said in his traditional evening video message, stressing: “Not a single Russian attack will go unanswered by our military and intelligence forces.”
In this regard, Zelensky expressed condolences in connection with the death of Oleksiy Vadatursky, the owner of one of the largest grain trading companies in Ukraine, who was killed the day before in Nikolaev. Vadatursky was 74 years old. His wife Raisa also died.
As previously reported by the Ukrainian General Staff, Zelensky also announced the transfer of Russian troops to the occupied regions in the south of the country. Part of the Russian forces will be transferred from positions in the east to the south – in the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, but this will not help them there, the Ukrainian leader pointed out. Moscow refrained from commenting on the possible deployment of troops.

The city of Chasov Yar in the territory of the Donetsk region controlled by Kyiv was shelled on the evening of July 9. One of the rockets destroyed the factory greenhouses and one of the workshops, the second hit the Amstor shopping and entertainment center, where hundreds of people were. 21 people died.
