Resort Rosa Khutor
International holiday Tourism Day is celebrated on September 27. It appeared more than 40 years ago at the initiative of the World Tourism Organization with the aim of promoting travel and developing ties between peoples.
– From year to year, tourists from different regions of the country come to Rosa Khutor. And our main task is to create for them the highest quality conditions for comfortable and safe recreation, sports and a healthy lifestyle in a unique place in Russia, in the mountains of Sochi. Now the resort is developing natural tourism and the necessary infrastructure for this. For walks in the mountains, 110 km of hiking trails have been laid, in the future their network will expand, Rosa Khutor noted.
Therefore, in honor of Tourism Day, the resort decided to tell the vacationers in more detail about how to properly prepare for trekking in the mountains, how to behave in the wild. Details of camping life will be told at their master classes by professional guides of the Rosa Khutor Active Leisure Center and the Sport Marathon store. Participants of the events will learn how to competently pack a backpack, choose a place for the camp, put up a tent and cook food. They will learn how to knit various knots, provide first aid, navigate in the forest or mountains using modern navigation methods, as well as maps and a compass. The master classes start at 11.30, they will take place on Rose Square.
For young tourists, free impromptu hikes are organized (registration and gathering of participants at Rosa Square from 12 to 13 and from 14 to 15.00). During the one-hour easy route, children aged 7 to 12 will be told about the geology, landscape, mountain rivers and forests, plants and animals that live in this geographical area, as well as the dangers that can be encountered on a hike. Children’s creative master classes will be held on the Town Hall Square. It will be interesting for the most inquisitive to join the excursion at the Museum of Archeology, where they will tell in a fascinating way about the historical facts and cultural heritage of the Rosa Khutor territories.
Many events will take place in the Lecture Hall of the mountain club “Sport-Marathon” (Embankment Panorama, 4). Here, in honor of Tourism Day, not only lectures for adults and classes for children are organized, but also films dedicated to travel are shown. To participate, registration is required on the website of the mountain club “Sport-marathon”, in the Lecture Hall section.
