Women’s and men’s national teams of Ukraine won the 1st round of the Chess Olympiad

Both teams defeated opponents with a score of 4:0.

Today, July 29, the first round of the 2022 Chess Olympiad took place in Chennai, India, Ukrinform reports.

The women’s team of Ukraine beat the team of the Republic of South Africa – 4:0.

Anna Muzychuk defeated Jessie Februari – 1:0, Anna Ushenina was stronger than Chloe Badenhorst – 1:0, Natalia Buksa defeated Rebecca Selkirk – 1:0, Yulia Osmak beat Rebecca Selkirk – 1:0.

India beat Tajikistan – 4:0.

In the second round our team will play against Turkey.

The men’s team beat Thailand – 4:0.

Andrey Volokitin was stronger than Tanadon Kulpruetanon – 1:0, Yuri Kuzubov defeated Prin Laohavirapap – 1:0, Kirill Shevchenko defeated Tinnakrit Arunnuntapanych – 1:0, Vladimir Onischuk defeated Shin Jinjang – 1:0.

India defeated Zimbabwe – 4:0.

In the second round, the Ukrainian men’s team will play against Albania.
