Capital of Austria Vein named the most livable city in the world for the third time, according to the Economist Intelligence Unit’s (EIU) annual rankings, the think tank of The Economist, published on Thursday 23 June. Vienna previously topped this list in 2018 and 2019. What makes Vienna so attractive is its stable conditions, good infrastructure and health care system, as well as many cultural and leisure opportunities.
According to the EIU rating, the second place among the most convenient cities is the capital of Denmark, Copenhagen, and the third is the Swiss city of Zurich. The most livable German city turned out to be Frankfurt am Main, ranked seventh. Kyiv was not included in the study this year due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
The most expensive cities in the world
Earlier, in December 2021, the Israeli metropolis of Tel Aviv was recognized as most expensive city in the world according to the results of an EIU study that compared the cost of living in 173 cities around the world. Paris and Singapore shared the second place in this ranking, there was no third place, and Swiss Zurich was on the fourth place.
