Victoria Bonya conquers another mountain: the 43-year-old TV presenter went to South America to climb the highest volcano on the planet, Ojos del Salado. The peak at 6893 meters is located on the border between Argentina and Chile.
Victoria began the expedition full of hope. Last year, she had already climbed Mount Manaslu in Nepal, so she already had mountaineering experience. However, already at an altitude of 3500 Bonya was covered with mountain sickness. It became difficult for the TV presenter to breathe, her pulse weakened greatly and headaches began. Victoria endured for several days, but in the end she was unable to start climbing with the expedition. She was taken back to the base camp to normalize her blood pressure and pulse.
After getting in touch on social networks, the model complained of severe headaches. According to her, her head hurt so much that no painkillers helped.
– Pulse 50, I have never had this. Long adaptation to height. I feel very unwell. I think, well, why did you go to the mountains? Bonya complained.

To prove her words, the TV presenter showed fans a picture of her swollen face. The photo shocked Boni’s subscribers. Many are perplexed – why torture yourself like that if you do not tolerate altitude sickness? Fans asked Victoria to stop climbing and go down. However, the TV presenter is determined to continue the expedition as soon as she feels better.
Earlier, answering questions from subscribers, Bonya told how much she paid for a trip to Chile. The TV presenter gave 5 thousand euros only for the ascent itself. She paid the same amount for equipment, and another 5 thousand euros for tickets to Chile and back. In total, the trip cost Victoria a total of 2.5 million rubles.

However, this is not Boni’s most expensive expedition. Last year’s ascent to Mount Manaslu cost Victoria 50 thousand euros. Bonya went on an expedition led by the famous mountaineer Nirmala Purdja. The former Nepalese commando made his first ascent in 2012. Eight years later, he set a record by conquering all the existing 14 peaks over 8000 meters in just six months. Perhaps such a high price is due to the participation in the ascent of a mountaineering star. At the same time, it was not Victoria herself who paid for the expedition, but her lover. The model admitted that it was his gift to her.
True, the trip to the Himalayas did not end at all as Bonya had planned. Due to avalanches, the ascent had to be interrupted, and Bonya never reached the summit.
