Vereshchuk: evacuation from Donbass is mandatory, but they will not be “forced”

Despite the fact that the evacuation from Kyiv-controlled territories of the DPR declared mandatory, no one plans to force civilians to leave Donbass if they do not want to, said Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration of Ukraine Irina Vereshchuk.

In addition, for those who still want to leave the territory of the DPR, they published an “algorithm of actions”:

  • Contact the hotlines of the Donetsk CAA or use the appropriate chatbots.
  • On the basis of an appeal to you, they will come home, help you pack up and take you to the place of evacuation.
  • People are transported by trains and buses.
  • During the trip, they will help to issue an IDP certificate.
  • Upon arrival, they will meet you and give you first financial aid from the state.

Earlier, Pravda.Ru quoted Vereshchuk’s statement that more than 200,000 people were going to be evacuated from the territories of the DPR controlled by Kyiv. As explained in the government of Ukraine, in most of the settlements there are no heat and lightwhich endangers the lives of civilians.
