Van Vleeten from the Netherlands wins the first women’s Tour de France

Ukrainian Yulia Biryukova also participated in the Tour.

Dutch cyclist Annemiek van Vleeten became the winner of the first ever women’s Tour de France, Ukrinform reports.

An athlete from the Spanish Movistar Team managed to keep the lead in the overall standings and get ahead of compatriot Demi Wallering.

The Ukrainian cyclist Yulia Biryukova also took part in the Tour de France. The Ukrainians failed to fit into the time limit at the penultimate stage.

As Ukrinform reported, Danish cyclist Jonas Wingegaard from the Jumbo-Visma team won the overall standings of the men’s Tour de France 2022.
