US Senate backs Sweden and Finland joining NATO

The upper house of the US Congress supported by an overwhelming majority the expansion of the North Atlantic Alliance at the expense of Sweden and Finland.

The corresponding decision was supported by 95 lawmakers, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

In addition, Republican Senator Rand Paul, known for his devoted support of Donald Trump and visits to Moscow, voted “in attendance.”
