According to the publication, for two weeks the United States has been putting pressure on the Greek government, in return promising to arm Greece with German Marder 1A5 infantry fighting vehicles.
The authors of the material write that the pressure on Greece began on April 26, when the defense ministers of 40 countries met at the Ramstein airbase in Germany. Then Greece refused military assistance to Ukraine, citing a threat from Turkey.
Athens was allowed not to supply the Ukrainian Armed Forces with TOR-M1a and Osa-AK anti-aircraft systems, which occupy an important place in the defense of Greece.
The newspaper claims that the Greek authorities have not yet decided whether they will help Ukraine with the supply of weapons.
Earlier, Greek Defense Minister Nikos Panayiotopoulo said that the country would no longer send weapons to Ukraine, as this could reduce the defense capability of Greece.
