US allows test flights of three-wheeled flying car

The US Federal Aviation Administration has granted permission to Samson Sky to begin air testing of the Samson Switchblade three-wheeled flying vehicle.

The Samson Switchblade has been in development for 14 years. The car has a three-cylinder 1.6-liter engine with 190 horsepower.

When the 125-liter tank is completely filled, the vehicle is able to fly up to 724 km.

The company claims that the cruising speed of the device is 257 km / h, and the maximum – 322 km / h. When used on the road, the maximum speed will not exceed 201 km / h.

The three-wheeled flying car will need a runway 335 meters long to take off and 213 meters long to land.

The cost of one copy is from 150 thousand dollars, and the company has already received at least 1,670 pre-orders.

As Ukrinform reported, the American company Lift Aircraft presented the HEXA flying car.
