The main tasks under the social gasification program for 2022 have been completed, said Dmitry Medvedev, chairman of United Russia, at a meeting on the implementation of the program, which was held in Gatchina, Leningrad Region. It was attended by Secretary of the General Council Andrey Turchak, representatives of the Government, Gazprom and the regions. The meeting participants discussed plans for the implementation of the program for 2023 and the progress in fulfilling the President’s order to establish a subsidy of 100,000 rubles for privileged categories of citizens when connecting houses to gas.

“The growth rate of gas infrastructure construction is three times higher than in 2021. The main thing that is needed now is to ensure that thousands and thousands of households can take advantage of this as quickly as possible. And it is required to extend the program to new regions. Gasification of houses will significantly improve the quality of life of people. Such work was not carried out there at all, and it needs to be started as soon as possible, as soon as circumstances permit,” Dmitry Medvedev said.

He urged the regions to expedite the adoption of regulatory documents for registration of benefits for social additional gasification. By order of the president, by January 15, a minimum subsidy of 100,000 rubles for nine compulsory categories of citizens should be established throughout the country. These are invalids and participants of the Great Patriotic War, combat veterans, family members of the victims, veterans and disabled people, low-income citizens, large and low-income families.

“I ask the secretaries of our party branches to pay the closest attention to this. As far back as last year, the volumes of assistance allocated to citizens varied greatly, very significantly – this also affected the pace of gasification. In the near future, the government should allocate about 2.5 billion rubles to co-finance expenses,” Dmitry Medvedev recalled.

In turn, Andrei Turchak stressed that the regions that fall under federal support measures are guaranteed to receive funds to provide preferential categories of citizens with subsidies for social additional gasification.

“The funds are pledged. “United Russia” voted for the budget for 2023 and the planning period of 2024-2025. We still have regions that are in the “red zone” (for the introduction of benefits – “KP”). Let’s stop discussions on this topic and on the 15th we will report to the federal headquarters on the implementation of the President’s order,” the politician said.

Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said that 724,000 contracts have been concluded under the social additional gasification program and 790,000 applications have been accepted throughout the country.

He also noted that United Russia is actively monitoring the implementation of the program. A call center was created, which processed more than 150 thousand calls, a large-scale inventory of households was carried out to determine the potential for the number of connections. It is about 2 million.

“According to the decision of the President, the program is being implemented on an indefinite basis. Now there are tasks for the social gasification of households, and the program has been expanded to include schools and medical institutions,” Alexander Novak added.

In conclusion, Dmitry Medvedev stressed that the program of social additional gasification should continue until its optimal indicators are reached.

“The most important thing is that a working model has been found. There are smiles on the faces of people who have just received gas. And someone switches to coal and firewood. But this is not ours. I am sure that we will achieve everything we set,” Dmitry Medvedev concluded.

Recall that in 2021, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law amended by the United Russia faction on free delivery of gas to sites. You can apply for social gasification on the State Services portal and through MFC branches, Gazprom Mezhregiongaz subscriber points and the websites of gasification operators. The party also proposed to expand measures to support beneficiaries during social gasification – to extend them to the whole country and to standardize the cost of a minimum set of equipment for a number of categories of citizens.

The heads of the regions are responsible for the execution of the order to connect households, who, at the initiative of United Russia, head the headquarters for gasification. Also, at the initiative of United Russia, social gasification will be extended to households with several apartments.

The Government will also work out additional measures to support citizens in the process of social additional gasification – such an initiative was put forward by United Russia. Now a number of beneficiaries in 72 regions, on the initiative or with the support of the party, receive a discount or compensation for the purchase of gas equipment and the installation of a gas pipeline to a residential building.

In addition, United Russia controls in the regions the execution of the President’s order to provide a subsidy in the amount of at least 100 thousand rubles to privileged categories of citizens for the purchase of gas equipment.
