Ukrainian tennis player Oleksiy Krutykh won the final qualifying match of the ATP Challenger Tour competition in the German city of Heilbronn with a prize pool of €90,280.
The 22-year-old from Kiev (No. 314 ATP) beat Spaniard Nicolas Sanchez Iskerdo (287) – 6:4, 6:4, Ukrinform reports.
The opponents spent 1 hour and 43 minutes on the court.
In the main round of the tournament, Krutykh will meet with an experienced Frenchman – 37-year-old Gilles Simon (160).
The Ukrainian tennis player overcame the qualification barrier at his fourth Challenger this year. Alexey’s best result of the season at ATP tournaments was the second round in Madrid and Prague last month.
