As part of the Keep Ukraine Connected volunteer project, Ukrainian telecom companies received from partners in Europe about 1.3 thousand units of equipment to restore communications worth half a million dollars.
According to Ukrinform, the Ministry of Digital Transformation informs about this in Telegram.
“The Keep Ukraine Connected project from the Global NOG Alliance helps Ukrainian telecom companies receive equipment from European colleagues to restore communications in Ukraine. Since April, operators and providers have received about 1.3 thousand pieces of equipment worth $500,000,” the message says.
According to the Ministry of Digital Development, at the beginning of July there were five deliveries of equipment with a total of almost two thousand units, about 1.3 thousand of them were distributed among telecom companies.
In total, six nationwide and 42 regional companies, the most affected by the war, received assistance.
The Ministry of Digital Development expressed its gratitude to the partners helping to restore communications in Ukraine.
The project was launched thanks to volunteers – electronic communications engineers Rene Fichtmüller from Germany, Jan Georges from Slovenia, Sander Stefan from the Netherlands and others.
The program is being implemented with the support of the Ministry of Digital Development, DEPS, the Association of Copyright Holders and Content Providers, and the Internet Association of Ukraine.
