Ukrainian Armed Forces failed offensive on Krasny Liman – Russian Defense Ministry

The offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU) on Red Estuary in the DNR turned out to be a failure. This was reported to journalists in the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry.

According to the agency, the 66th and 93rd mechanized Ukrainian brigades lost over 70 people killed during the fighting in the Krasnolimansky direction.

“The Armed Forces of Ukraine also lost four tanks, six infantry fighting vehicles and three armored vehicles as a result of the failure of the offensive,” the Defense Ministry noted.

Formerly war correspondent Semyon Pegov stated that Ukrainian soldiers, using small group tactics, tried to establish control over the settlement of Torskoye in order to seize the Krasny Lyman-Svatovo road. He stressed that the allied forces pushed back the militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The fighters of the Russian Federation and LDNR continue to control the “road of life”, the journalist explained.

On Tuesday, September 27, it became known that several Ukrainian militants who participated in the assault on Krasny Liman got into Russian captivity.
