Counteroffensive of Ukraine in the Kherson region gaining momentumBritish intelligence says in a new report.
According to experts, Ukrainian forces have most likely established a foothold south of the Ingulets River.
Ukraine has used its new long-range artillery to damage at least three bridges across the Dnieper River, which are critical to Russia’s supply of territories under its control, British analysts write.
They note that one of the bridges – Antonovsky, damaged last week, with a high probability, is unusable after the second strike of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on July 27.
The British Ministry of Defense also believes that Russian forces located on the western bank of the Dnieper look “very vulnerable.”
Kherson is now practically cut off from other occupied territories, according to British intelligence.
