Ukraine won 18 medals at the European Youth Olympic Festival

The XVI European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF-2022) has ended in the city of Banska Bystrica (Slovakia).

According to the press service of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine (NOC), within six days of competition, Ukrainian athletes won 18 awards, of which 6 were gold, Ukrinform reports.

Champion titles were won by Radomir Stelmakh (artistic gymnastics), Nikolai Kotenko (swimming), Stanislav Korchemlyuk, Elizaveta Litvinenko, Diana Semchenko (all – judo), Olga Mashanenkova (athletics);

“silver”: Radomir Stelmakh – 2, Dmitry Prudko, Anna Lashchevskaya (all – artistic gymnastics), Ivan Grabarchuk (swimming), Ukrainian national judo team;

“bronze”: Nazar Viskov, Ivan Kazimirov (both – judo), Radomir Stelmakh and Anna Lashchevskaya (artistic gymnastics), Denis Myalkovsky, Nikita Kudinov (swimming).

In the team standings, the Ukrainian team took seventh place – 15 medals (6 gold, 6 silver and 6 bronze). Ahead – Italy – 47 (21, 12, 14), Germany – 33 (9, 8, 16), Spain – 19 (8, 7, 4), Great Britain – 18 (7, 5, 6), Hungary – 24 ( 6, 9, 9) and France – 17 (6, 7, 4).

The XVII Summer European Youth Olympic Festival will be held from 23 to 29 July 2023 in Maribor (Slovenia).
