The Government of Ukraine will introduce mandatory evacuation of residents of non-occupied areas of the Donetsk region before the start of the heating season.
This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister – Minister for Reintegration WTO Irina Vereshchuk on airelemarathonan Ukrinform correspondent reports.
According to Vereshchuk, Pavel Kirilenko, the head of the Donetsk OVA, addressed the government regarding the creation of an evacuation headquarters at the state level.
“There is absolutely no gas supply in the Donetsk region; all gas pipelines that could be repaired have been repaired, but, unfortunately, the enemy destroys everything that would help warm people in winter. In a word, there will be no heat in the Donetsk region in winter. 33- I article of the Code of Civil Protection of the Population speaks of such a form of evacuation as mandatory. I believe that this is the duty of every adult family member,” the official said.
She recalled that there are 52,000 children in the Donetsk region, and “you can not expose them to mortal danger in the winter – without heat, without light, without the ability to warm.”
According to Vereshchuk, in case of refusal to evacuate, a person must sign an appropriate form, stating that he understands all the consequences and is responsible for his life.
As reported, on July 29, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine created the Coordination Headquarters, which will organize the evacuation from the Donetsk region. It was headed by Irina Vereshchuk. The headquarters included representatives of ministries, law enforcement agencies and the OVA.
