Ukraine is doing everything possible to resume food exports to Africa
Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba assured his Liberian counterpart that Ukraine is doing everything possible to resume food exports to African markets.
According to Ukrinform, the head of Ukrainian diplomacy announced this in Twitter.
“I spoke with my Liberian colleague Dee Maxwell Kemaya. Grateful for the support of Liberia within the framework of the UN. Ukraine is doing its best to export food to African markets, but Russia must end its illegal blockade of Ukrainian seaports and stop undermining global food security,” Kuleba wrote.
As reported, European Commissioner for Transport Adina Velyan presented an action plan in Brussels on May 12 to help Ukraine export agro-industrial products, the so-called Solidarity Lanes.
According to the European Commissioner, 20 million tons of grain should be sent from Ukraine in less than three months, using the EU infrastructure.
In the medium term, in order to improve connectivity between the EU and Ukraine, the European Commission will work to increase the capacity of the infrastructure of new export corridors and create new infrastructure links as part of the reconstruction of Ukraine.
