Ukraine filed a lawsuit with the ECtHR against Russia for a special operation

The Ukrainian Ministry of Justice filed a lawsuit against Moscow in European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR). According to the Minister of Justice Denis Malyuskahe is associated with a special operation to protect the Donbass.

Ukraine demands to obtain from Russia the withdrawal of troops and the payment of monetary compensation. The lawsuit contains accusations of the Russian authorities of violating the European Convention on Human Rights. What payment Kyiv requires is not reported.

Maliuska specified that the lawsuit concerns the period from February 24 to April 7, when Russian troops left the territory of the Kyiv and Chernihiv regions, which was the result of negotiations between representatives of Russia and Ukraine in Istanbul on March 29.

Russia was forced start a special operation in Ukraine, and now the world is only fueling the confrontation, said a member of the upper house of the Japanese parliament Muneo Suzuki. According to the parliamentarian, for some reason everyone forgot that Kyiv refused to comply with the Minsk agreements and provoked the conflict itself.
