Ukrainian Lesya Tsurenko continues her performance at the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) Rothesay International Eastbourne tournament in Eastbourne (UK) with a prize fund of $757.9 thousand.
In the third round, for reaching the 1/4 finals of the competition, Tsurenko (No. 114 in the WTA rating) won a strong-willed victory over Magda Lynette from Poland (No. 66) in 2.5 hours – 5:7, 6:3, 7:5, Ukrinform reports. .
The Kyiv resident will compete for a ticket to the semi-finals with the Brazilian Beatriz Addad Maya (No. 29), who the day before beat Kaya Kanepi from Estonia (No. 39) – 6:4, 3:6, 6:3.
Recall that Tsurenko made it to the main draw of Eastbourne through qualification.
