Traffic in the Center of Lima LIVE: these are the streets and avenues restricted by the marches

Demonstrators returned to Plaza Dos de Mayo after trying to reach the Congress of the Republic.

At the moment, only the avenue is free Nicholas de Pierola so drivers can look for alternate routes.

Vehicles can only go one way

Protesters came to the Superior Court of Justice, but a police cordon is installed. Only a few cars manage to pass through Abancay avenue.

The group of protesters move along Abancay avenue, so access to this road has been closed, before reaching the Superior Court of Justice.

Also, there is traffic congestion between the crossing of the Jiron Antonio Raimondi and avenue abancay. At the intersection of the last one with Jirón Ucayali, a slow advance of the vehicles can be seen.

Traffic in Downtown Lima

This afternoon of January 12, a new march was called in downtown Lima against the president Dina Boluarte and the closure of the Congress of the Republic. From 2:00 p.m., the demonstrators gathered in Plaza 2 de Mayo to start their journey and reach Plaza San Martín.

Protestants are marching down the avenue Garcilaso de la Vega and Nicolás de Pierola. In view of this, vehicular congestion has been reported. Likewise, traffic on Tacna Avenue has been paralyzed.
