Minister of Culture and Information Policy Alexander Tkachenko discussed strengthening cooperation with representatives of the US State Department.
According to Ukrinform, Tkachenko said this in Telegram.
“Another working meeting was held with representatives of the US State Department – Lee Satterfield, Assistant Secretary of State for Education and Cultural Affairs, and her team,” Tkachenko said.
According to him, they discussed strengthening cooperation in three areas: supporting the Ukrainian media and counteracting Russian disinformation, supporting Ukrainian artists and preserving the cultural heritage of Ukraine.
In addition, the head of the ICIP added, the partners were told about the losses that the Ukrainian spheres bear from the war, and about the help they need now.
“We agreed to establish bilateral working groups between the State Department and the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine in all three of the above areas for in-depth and effective cooperation,” Tkachenko said.
As Ukrinform reported, Russian invaders damaged or destroyed more than 380 cultural monuments in Ukraine.
