Deaths from consuming adulterated liquor do not decrease and there are already 27 people, according to reports by the authorities of the Colombian capital, after the death of four people, of which two would have their deaths, so far on Tuesday, December 13, address in the municipality of Soacha, which borders the south of Bogotá.

According to figures from the District Health Secretariat, between November 24 and December 11 there have been 38 cases of people intoxicated by the consumption of adulterated liquor, of which 12 cases presented samples of methanol in their bodies. It is important to note that from the district administration they are obtained by artisanal distillation or preparations with industrial alcohol.

It is also important to point out that the Health, Government, Security and Social Integration Secretariats, in coordination with the Bogotá Metropolitan Police and Invima, have carried out different actions in the 20 towns of the city to counteract this illegal trade, which, To date, there are already 128 operations to verify healthy and safe food and beverages, in which 283 establishments have been intervened, security measures have been imposed on 20 establishments; 416 liters of liquor have been denatured due to non-compliance with labeling and not having a Sanitary Registry; and 22.65 liters per expiration date expired.
