United States Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink congratulated Ukraine and its people on being granted candidate status for membership in the European Union.
This was announced by the US Embassy in Ukraine in Facebookreports Ukrinform.
“Congratulations to Ukraine and its people on obtaining the status of a candidate for EU membership! This decision reflects Ukraine’s significant achievements in deepening European integration,” Brink said.
The ambassador added that the US will continue to support Ukraine as it pursues further reforms to fulfill the European aspirations of the Ukrainian people.

As reported, the heads of state and government of the European Union on Thursday decided to grant Ukraine the status of a candidate country for joining the EU.
