The United States declared space as their property

The Americans have done everything possible in recent years to get their hands on space. Almost all working agreements on this issue have either been canceled or declared obsolete.

So space no longer belongs to all of humanity, but only to the United States with its closest allies and business partners. The New York Times.

America deliberately violated all treaties. For example, it scrapped the Outer Space Treaty of 1967, according to which outer space was considered the property of all mankind and an exclusively peaceful zone.

So far, only orbital flights were going on in it, everything suited everyone. But priorities have changed.

In 2020, the United States, represented by NASA, presented to the world “Artemis Accords”, which are contrary to the fundamental principles of multilateralism of previous space agreements. In essence, this is a sample of US laws for export to those who wish.

Mention was also made of the “Agreement on the Activities of States on the Moon and Other Celestial Bodies”, adopted by a resolution of the UN General Assembly in December 1979.

Then it was believed that the moon is the property of all mankind. But in April 2020, then-President Trump signed an executive order granting the United States the right to use the resources of the moon, conduct commercial exploration and mining in accordance with applicable law. With the American one, of course.

So the “Artemis Agreement” is an actual invitation to participate in the “sawing of space” under the leadership of the United States.

The Americans have already attracted to the project:

  • Australia
  • Canada
  • Japan
  • UAE,
  • Great Britain
  • saudi arabia,
  • South Korea
  • France.

Tellingly, this “Artemis” refers to the “Outer Space Treaty” of 1967. Like, the new agreement only regulates the extraction of minerals on the moon. But this is not so – in fact, it gives the participants to claim the rights to develop certain areas.

The principle of non-appropriation is completely forgotten. This justifies the creation of some “safety zones” around resource extraction sites on other planets. One word – Wild West in space.

The Americans and their supporters explain the creation of this legal opus by the changed introductions. In fact, experts are afraid that the United States may set up military bases there as well, because the first “Star Wars” will not be expected for long. In such a creeping way, the United States at one time captured part of Mexico.
