The man signed an agreement on the organization of his vacation with the company “AERO-TOUR”. But, unfortunately for him, it was in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, during a period of cancellation of a large number of both foreign and domestic flights.

Therefore, taking into account the epidemiological situation in the world, the client and the travel agency signed an additional agreement, which indicated a specific date by which the departure was to take place. However, the pandemic dragged on, and the agreement had to be terminated.

The travel agency did not reimburse the man for the cost of the trip, and he sued him demanding to pay him the amount paid for the ticket, a penalty, a fine, as well as moral compensation in the amount of 30 thousand rubles.

Having studied the materials of the case, the court ordered Anex-Tourism to pay the plaintiff a penalty in the amount of 50,000 rubles, a fine of 20,000 rubles and compensation in the amount of 3,000 rubles. According to the court decision, the AERO-TOUR company does not owe him anything, but this decision can be appealed, the court noted.
